Refund Policy

1. Payment Processing
All payments on RinAcademy are processed by Paddle, our authorised Merchant of Record. Paddle handles payment collection, tax compliance, and billing on our behalf. When you purchase a subscription or lesson package, your contract for the payment is with Paddle. You can find Paddle's terms at paddle.com/legal/buyers.
2. Individual Lesson Cancellations
12 hours or more before the lesson
- You may cancel or reschedule at no cost.
- Your lesson credit is fully returned to your account immediately.
Less than 12 hours before the lesson
- The lesson is marked as a late cancellation.
- The lesson credit is forfeited — no refund will be issued.
- Exceptions may be made for genuine emergencies at RinAcademy's sole discretion. Contact support@rinacademy.com.
3. Tutor Cancellations & No-Shows
- If your tutor cancels a lesson at any time, you will receive a full lesson credit or a full monetary refund — whichever you prefer.
- If your tutor does not join within 10 minutes of the scheduled start time, the session is classified as a no-show. You are entitled to a full lesson credit plus one additional free lesson credit as compensation.
4. Technical Issues
If a lesson cannot proceed due to a verified technical issue on the RinAcademy platform or the tutor's connection, you will receive a full lesson credit or refund. We are not responsible for connectivity or hardware issues on the student's end.
5. Lesson Package Refunds
- Unused packages: If no lessons have been used, you may request a full refund within 14 days of purchase.
- Partially used packages: Used lessons will be charged at the standard single-lesson rate ($15 per credit). The remaining unused balance will be refunded.
- Refund requests after 14 days are considered at RinAcademy's discretion.
6. Subscription Refunds & Cancellation
- You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you retain access to your remaining credits until then.
- Subscriptions are non-refundable once the billing period has begun and lessons have been made available, except where required by applicable law.
- If you cancel within 14 days of your first subscription payment and have not used any lessons, you may request a full refund.
- Subscriptions auto-renew monthly or annually (depending on your plan) until cancelled. You will receive a reminder email before each renewal.

7. How to Request a Refund
Email support@rinacademy.com with your account email, invoice number, and the reason for your request. Eligible refunds are processed by Paddle and typically appear on your statement within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer.
