1. Introduction

Welcome to RinAcademy. By accessing our website and using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our services. These terms apply to all users of the platform, including students and tutors.

2. Services

RinAcademy provides online English tutoring services including personalised one-on-one lessons, messaging between students and tutors, and a lesson scheduling and credit system. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue any part of the service at any time.

3. User Accounts

To book lessons or access tutoring services, you must register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, complete information and to keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. RinAcademy reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. Payments & Billing

All payments are processed by Paddle, our authorised Merchant of Record. Paddle handles billing, tax collection, and payment processing on behalf of RinAcademy. By making a purchase, you also agree to Paddle's Buyer Terms.

Prices are displayed in US dollars (USD) and are inclusive of any applicable taxes as determined by Paddle at checkout. Prices may change; any booked lessons will be honoured at the rate already paid.

Lesson credits are added to your account after payment is confirmed by Paddle. Credits are non-transferable and may only be used for lessons on RinAcademy.

5. Subscriptions & Auto-Renewal

RinAcademy offers monthly and annual subscription plans. By subscribing, you authorise Paddle to charge your payment method automatically at the start of each billing period (monthly or annually) until you cancel.

You will receive a reminder email before each renewal. You may cancel at any time through your Dashboard → Billing page or by contacting support@rinacademy.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

Subscription credits are granted at the start of each billing cycle and do not roll over to the next period. Credits from one-time packages do not expire.

6. Cancellations & Refunds

Lesson cancellations, rescheduling rules, package refunds, and subscription refunds are governed by our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms of Service.

7. User Conduct

All users — students and tutors — are expected to behave respectfully. Harassment, hate speech, discriminatory language, or any inappropriate behaviour will result in immediate account suspension without refund. RinAcademy reserves the right to remove any content or user that violates these standards.

8. Intellectual Property

All learning materials, content, and resources provided through RinAcademy are the intellectual property of RinAcademy or its licensors. You may not distribute, sell, or reproduce any content without explicit written permission.

9. Privacy

Your use of RinAcademy is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data.

10. Limitation of Liability

RinAcademy is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services. We do not guarantee specific learning outcomes or exam results. Our total liability to you in connection with these terms shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the 30 days prior to the claim.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or via a notice on the platform. Continued use of RinAcademy after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
